COVID-19 RESPONSE
We want to let you know what we are doing to minimize the risk of infection to our guests.
- Smaller Tour Sizes – By limiting the number of people in a tour, we can ensure for more physical distancing.
- Hand Sanitizer Stations — We have stationed hand sanitizer through-out the exhibit.
- We Are Masking Up — Our staff and tour guides will be wearing face coverings, or talking behind plexiglass. We ask that those attending also please wear a face covering.
- Outside Tour — The entire tour will be given outside, under tarps to allow for maximum air flow and circulation.
- Sanitizing Chairs — We have allowed for space between tours to give us the opportunity to sanitize the chairs between each group of people.
ABOUT MESSIAH'S MANSION
Messiah’s Mansion has been touring since 2003, operated by Oklahoma Academy in Harrah, OK. These high school students, along with many dedicated volunteers, have brought this traveling life-sized replica to 15 states, as well as Canada and Jamaica. No matter where the Messiah’s Mansion Tabernacle goes, it has generated interest from schools, churches, families, and local history buffs. It is an unforgettable learning opportunity!
The Tabernacle Tour
Travel back over 3,000 years into the desert between Egypt and Palestine where more than two million people banded together to build a tabernacle for their God. Each element inside this sanctuary had deep significance to the Hebrew people and this tour brings each symbol to life. Touring Messiah’s Mansion provides a unique opportunity to learn more about ancient history through a living museum. Instead of learning about history from books, participants get a chance to see demonstrations of life long ago. This tour can engage children and adults alike.
Station One
You will gain a structural overview of the Hebrew Tabernacle and its intricate, purposeful design.
Station Two
Upon entering the courtyard, your guide will explain the humbling symbolism of the Altar of Sacrifice and the Laver.
Station Three
In the Holy Place, learn the significance its three distinct elements:
- Table of Shewbread
- Alter of Incense
- Candelabra
Station Four
Discover the Ark of the Covenant, the only article in the Most Holy Place and the most important element in the entire tabernacle.
Station Five
The last station in the tour focuses on the special garment worn by the High Priest and how it affected the history of the Hebrews.
